The project

MOTION is an innovative initiative dedicated to redefining the concept of shared mobility. It presents itself as a concrete and sustainable response to urban mobility challenges, integrating advanced technologies and AI to offer a widespread, efficient and environmentally friendly bike sharing system.

MOTION was conceived to develop a new business model for on-demand and collaborative mobility, optimising resources, costs and reducing CO₂ emissions. The system ensures intelligent management of shared bicycles through a platform based on an advanced computational framework enabled by Artificial Intelligence.

Innovative features

Technological Innovation
At the heart of the project is the development of an advanced digital platform that integrates Artificial Intelligence to monitor and manage the entire bike sharing system in real time. The platform dynamically balances bicycle distribution across the territory, optimising usage and improving the user experience.
Collaboration with the Local Community
A key aspect of MOTION is the active involvement of local economic operators — hoteliers, restaurateurs and merchants — in bicycle maintenance activities. This model creates new opportunities for integration between the bike sharing network and the local economic fabric.
Sustainability and Safety
MOTION aims to significantly reduce CO₂ emissions by eliminating polluting operational vehicles from maintenance and redistribution activities. Great attention is paid to safety and hygiene, with practices ensuring high quality standards.
Focus on User Experience
A dedicated mobile app allows users to book and monitor bicycle availability in real time. Incentive systems — rewards and discounts — encourage virtuous behaviour and help balance the network.

The project is led by TECSEO SRL and KEY4 SRL, companies with established experience in technological solutions and innovation. Support from InResLab SCARL ensures a multidisciplinary approach integrating advanced expertise in AI and sustainable mobility.

The project is part of the ECOSISTER ecosystem and will contribute to the European Green Deal, representing a replicable model for other urban contexts.
